Kosofe LG Leader of the House, Olumide County, Gifts N100,000 To A Party Member Down With Health Predicament
Kosofe Local Government Legislative Council’s Leader of the house, Hon. Olumide Onayemi County, has come to the aid of an APC member who has been down with chronic health predicament by giving her a cheque of N100,000 for the payment of her medical treatment.
Hon. County gave the afflicted party member known as Mrs. Taiwo Adekoya the stated amount of money yesterday at the Kosofe LGA APC secretariat. The money was presented to the woman by Kosofe LGA APC caretaker committee chairman, Alhaji Kehinde Bello.
While issuing the cheque of N100,000 to the woman, County stated that his primary motive was simply to assist people in dire need of financial assistance, adding that he had been doing this for a long time in diverse ways assisting many people even from the meagre amount of money he earns as salary.
He disclosed that next week, he is again going to assist another woman residing at Oworo with similar problem.
He further revealed that apart from rendering financial assistance to people, he is also about to complete refurbishment of a school at Anthony, adding that when the refurbishment of the school is completed by next month, it would be named after late Sen. Adebayo Osinowo.
The APC Kosofe LGA caretaker committee chairman, Alhaji Kehinde Bello, described the beneficiary of the largess as a hardworking, trustworthy and committed member of the party and prayed she overcome her health travail.
The APC caretaker Chairman of Ojota Ward F, Mr. Sunday popularly known as SMA commended Hon. County for his generosity and urged him to continue in that stead, stressing that he would definitely reap the bountiful reward in the near future.
He noted that he was also aware of a person in his ward who had been assisted in similar way by County.
Mrs. Adekoya the beneficiary, in her remark, thanked Hon. County for coming to her aid. She made it known that she has always regarded him as father because he had assisted her on two different occasions in the past.
She recollected a time he rendered financial assistance to her and also when County rushed her to Island maternity around 12:16 am at night for urgent medical treatment with his personal car when she was wriggling in pain from her health predicament.
She noted that before he came to her aid this time round, she had approached other political leaders in the Local Government but to no avail.
Also present at the presentation of N100, 000 cheque were other Wards caretaker chairmen from other wards in the local government.
