MOYO OGUNLEWE, SOHCAHTOA FOUNDATION PRESENT 300 FREE GCE FORMS TO STUDENTS

Kosofe Local Government in conjunction with SOHCAHTOA Foundation on Thursday presented 300 free GCE forms to students in Kosofe local government area. The free GCE forms were presented to the beneficiary students at the council's secretariat by the executive chairman of Kosofe Local Government Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe. In his keynote address, the council boss stated that his administration placed a great premium on the education of the youth and as such would not play politics with it. He, therefore, assured that his administration would continue to dish out educational programmes that would be beneficial to the students irrespective of their social status. Sofola Commissions Blocks of Classrooms At Oworoshoki, Ifako

As part of efforts at uplifting the standard of education in Kosofe Local Government through provision of conducive environment for learning in all elementary schools, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Hon. Afolabi Sofola yesterday commissioned 2 blocks of refurbished Classrooms at Oworoshoki and Ifako areas of the Local Government.  Hon. Sofola Commissioned a block of 5 classrooms at Ayeroju Primary school, Oworoshoki and a block of 7 classrooms at Ifako Nursery and Primary School, Ifako. The CDC chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area Hon.     FG exempts ASUU from IPPIS, offers N65bn to end strike  0 The Federal Government on Friday agreed to exempt the Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System pending when the university lecturers will complete the development of its own payment platform- the University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS). The government also agreed to ASUU’s demand to pay their members’ salary arrears from February to June through the old salary payment platform – the Government Integrated Financial and Management Information System. After weeks of negotiations and foot – dragging, the government offered to raise the Earned Academic Allowances to university staff from N30bn to N35bn and the revitalisation fund from N20bn to N25bn. Kosofe Constituency 1 Education Committee Submits Report To Sanni Okanlawon

The Education Committee constituted by the Lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 1, Hon. Sanni Okanlawon to provide solution-driven recommendations on how to develop education in the Constituency has finally submitted its reports to the Lawmaker. The Five-Man Committee on Thursday September 24 submitted a 60-page reports to the Lawmaker at his Lagos State House of Assembly office . The Education Committee which was set up by Hon. Sanni Okanlawon on May 17 this year comprised of Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Mr. Ganiyu Oyebanjo, Mr. Funsho Oduntan, Mr. Saheed Olaide and Mr. Adam Yusuf. They were given until June 30 to submit their reports.      However in order to do a thorough job, the committee requested for ample time to complete its assignment. Soname was among the 15 board members of the state-owned institution whose appointments were approved yesterday by the Lagos state Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The Lagos State Governor yesterday approved the appointment of Chairmen and Governing Council members for four State-owned Tertiary Institutions: Lagos State University (LASU), Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED), Lagos State Polytechnic and Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED).
