NATONAL COALITION OF TINUBU SUPPORT GROUPS PLEADS WITH TINUBU TO CONTEST FOR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

*Threatens it will Drag Him To Contest If He Refuses

*Mobilizes 10 million votes across the country

The National Coalition of Tinubu Support Groups(NCSTG), has made a passionate plea to All Progressives Congress National Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to contest for 2023 presidential election declaring that it would force him to contest if he refuses.
The plea was made on Thursday by the group’s convener, Dr. Doyin Johnson at the Lagos state joint inaugural meeting of the coalition, comprising its National and Southwest Executives representing Lagos State held in Kosofe Local Government secretariat’s hall Ojota, Lagos.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Doyin Johnson who also doubles as the national secretary of the nationwide pro-Tinubu support group, stated emphatically that the Former Lagos State Governor must come out to contest the 2023 presidential election in order to salvage the country from the economic and political doldrums she is presently enmeshed in otherwise they would force him to join the presidential fray.

He noted that the APC national Leader’s outstanding political pedigree, exploits, experience and great leadership quality make him as the only viable option available to steer the rudder of the country safely to the “promised land”.

While making it known that the major objectives of the group is to rally support for Asiwaju Tinubu by bringing all the nebulous pro-Tinubu support groups together and mobilize 10 million voters for him across the country, he vowed to leave the country if he refused to heed group’s plea.

“Although Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not told us that he is going to contest for president, but we are begging him, we are crying, we are pleading that he must come and contest to lead this country. Because we saw what he did when he was governor of Lagos State and those he mentored. And all his mentees are doing well in their different political fields. When you look at Lagos State, it remains the pacesetter for all the states in Africa not only in Nigeria.

“Because of that, we believe Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has what it takes to lead this country to the promised land. If you could remember in some years past, he wanted to establish power plant in Lagos state - Enron- but for political reason, some disgruntled elements scuttled it on selfish ground.

“We don’t have Michelin tyre again, we don’t have Dunlop tyre , we don’t have many manufacturing companies again in the country because they are all running on generators. And to produce on generator automatically increases the cost of productions by over 400 percent.

“So who will buy a tyre at the rate of N75,000. We expect them to go to the neighbouring country, produce there and import into Nigeria for sale which causes unemployment.

“Because of that we are begging Asiwaju Tinubu to please for God sake to come and contest for the president of the Nigeria. Although he has not told us he wants to contest but we believe he has interest and if he refused we may have to drag him out to contest.

“So we are pleading on behalf of all Nigerian youths that he should come and contest because he has what it takes to take this country to the promised land. And if he does not contest I will have no choice but to leave this country”: he said.

The convener of the group therefore disclosed that in their quest to realise the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Tinubu in 2023 they are mobilizing Ten million votes throughout the country for him.

He therefore urged nebulous pro-Asiwaju support groups on social media to join and register with the recognised National Coalition of Tinubu Support Groups pro-Tinubu coalition in order to a formidable and cohesive unit towards the realization of the goal, adding that 48 pro-Tinubu groups had already registered  with it in the ongoing amalgamation/coalition.

Earlier, in his welcome address, the deputy southwest chairman of NCTSG, Hon. Adebanjo Johnbull, former Lagos State House of Assembly Member, praised the converner of the group Dr. Doyin Johnson for bringing the politicians and technocrats together to pursue a great project which is to actualize Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential ambition in 2023.

While describing the assignment as a great task, he urged the leaders of the group to pursue the project with great diligence and commitment it requires.

Similarly, in his key note address the Board of Trustee Member of the Group, Chief Sunny Ajose OON declared that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best man for the job and therefore implored Nigerians to rally round him and put their differences asides in the overall interest of the nation.

The Lagos State Coordinator of the group Barrister Kayode Ademiluyi in his own address urged the executives of the NCTSG to work assiduously for the realisation of Asiwaju Tinubu presidential ambition, stating that the main reason behind their coming together was to brainstorm and share ideas on how to accomplish their major political goal.

The southwest Mobilization officer of the group, former Executive Secretary, Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Gbemisola Ketiku while noting that the group has an enormous task at hand to accomplish, expressed confidence in its ability at accomplishing the set goals.

He commended the convener for deeming it good to make him the southwest mobilizing officers and charged the executive members present to put in their best towards the realization of their goal.

While the Group’s National Treasurer Alhaji Yusuf AbdulAzeez from Gombe State who represented the National Coordinator, Professor. Garuba Shehu, in his northern region report, disclosed that the north is overwhelmingly in support of Asiwaju Tinubu’s Presidential ambition and therefore appealed to its southwest counterpart to redouble its efforts and ensure the dream becomes a reality.

The South West Coordinator of the groups, Retired Group Captain Ropo Ayegbusi who was represented by The Ekiti State Coordinator, Mr. Tunde Arifayan Commended the Lagos state directorate and promised to emulate the pattern of lagos in ekiti state directorate soonest
