The Princess Consort to Oba of Oworonshoki Kingdom, Olori Bukola Maryam Saliu is an elegant, gorgeous, beautiful and humble woman. A classic example of a cultured Royal wife. As the wife of the new Oloworo of Oworonshoki Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Alayeluwa Oba Babatunde Saliu (Elebo II), she automatically becomes the head of the womenfolk of the Kingdom. The onus of guiding the women and children reposes with her. 

 

However, it is a known fact that royal hood does come with the faux pas of arrogant pride and power. But despite her elevation to royal status as the princess consort to a first-class Monarch, Olori Saliu said she was unmoved by the glitz, glamour and power of royal life.

 

In a chat during the 7th-day Installation celebration of His Majesty, Olori Saliu while expressing her delight over the ascension of Oba Babatunde Saliu to the throne of his forebears, disclosed that she remained a humble person and would perform her roles and duties expected of her in the kingdom without giving in to hubris and power that naturally accompanied the royal status.

 

“I am very excited that my husband ascends to the throne of his forefathers. I feel great, I feel very happy. However, I remain my humble self and will forever remain a humble person performing my roles and duties as the wife of His Majesty”: she said.

 

Olori Bukola Saliu was also very upbeat that her husband would transform Oworonshoki into a world-class city like Dubai.

 

Describing Oba Babatunde Saliu as a loving husband and a philanthropist that is passionate about the wellbeing of his people and the development of the community, she said he has all the intellectual capacity and connections to influence landmark infrastructural development in Oworonshoki and would not disappoint his subjects.


She said: “I am very happy that my husband ascended to the throne of his forefathers. He is a very kind person that is very passionate about the development of Oworonshoki. And he has seen his installation as a monarch as an opportunity to transform Oworonshoki into a world-class place.

 

“He is loved by many people that was why they begged him to succeed his father on the throne.

 

“I am very happy about the development. If His Majesty performed excellently, it will be a source of joy to me.

 


I pray Almighty God to give him the wisdom and the strength to achieve his vision and dream of transforming Oworonshoki to a smart city like Dubai:” she stated.   

 

Olori Saliu was also full of praise to the people of Oworonshoki for the support given to her husband from the day he was installed as the new Oloworo of Oworonshoki Kingdom.

 

She urged them not to relent in their efforts as it would go a long way in assisting them realized their desired goals and visions for the Kingdom.

 

“I thank the good people of Oworonshoki Kingdom for their support. They are wonderful people. I urge them not to relent in their effort in supporting the reign of His Majesty because it would go a long way in helping him realize his vision and dream for the Kingdom.

 

“When you go round the town, you will discover that both young and old are happy with the ascension of Oba Babatunde Saliu:” Olori Bukola Saliu stated.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses.
