The Frontline contender for the seat of Lagos State House of Assembly in Kosofe Constituency 1, Hon. Olanrewaju Carew of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has made it known that the desires to give the people of the Constituency a new lease of life and overall positive transformation rather than the quest for personal interest or aggrandizement are reasons why he wants to represent them in the Lagos state House of Assembly.

Hon. Carew made the assertion during the week against the background of prevailing economic hardship occasioned by fuel scarcity and cash crunch.

The owner of a famous Global brand, Farm City International expressed strong optimism that the prevailing economic hardship would soon be a thing of the past while assuring of a better quality representation if elected as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly on March 11 2023.


The Fellow of Chartered Institute of Accounting affirmed that he was ready to change the ugly narrative of overhyped and underwhelming representation in the Lagos state House of Assembly by bringing his wealth of accumulated experience, business acumen and network of connections to bear into the running of affairs of Kosofe constituency 1.


The business mogul while noting that the Kosofe had been lagging among the Local Government Areas in Lagos state despite its strategic location and overwhelming human and material resources, averred that what the people need at this critical moment is a transformational leader with prodigious creative ideas and innovative mind that can harness the people's potentialities and engender positive transformation in the area.

He said he was ready to contribute his quota to the development of the country and his constituency, stressing that he had a strong aversion to "Jaapa bug".

He stated that as a Chartered Accountant and a successful businessman with vast business investments within and outside the country, he was in a better position to catalyse the much-needed change in the Constituency

"I am a Chartered Accountant and one of the best in the field. I qualified in a record time and became a partner in one and a half years.

"I know how to do the work and get results. I also have the experience and requisite qualifications to back it up.

"For the people of Kosofe, I think my message is the message of hope. This country needs us and we all need it. I don't believe in "Jaapa". I believe in "Jaapada".
"See me as your lenses. I have gone there and I have seen it all. I didn't go there to look for a job. I went to establish companies. I swear to God there is nothing like home. We need to develop our home.

"I remember what Bishop Oyedepo said God told him when he was in America. He said 'go back home and make my people rich'.

"I have gotten to the right stage in my life where I think the only thing I need is the right people speaking with the right authority.

"When you are passionate about a dream or realizing an idea there is no way you won't achieve it if you put your mind to it.

"If you look at the stories of my businesses, I converted things that people thought were useless into wealth. Farm City Lekki used to be a dump site.

"Hope is coming on March 11 when we will be able to sit down together and see the beauty of Kosofe Constituency 1 you have never seen before.

"Kosofe is strategically located. It only needs a leader that can harness the potential of its people. We have everything, we have the market, we have the parks, we have the water and we have the access roads to other states.

"Governance is about having creative ideas innovative mind,, the ability to implement the ideas and giving the right kind of empowerments to build the capacity of our teeming youth.

What is stopping us in bringing an IT Hub to Kosofe? What is stopping us in bringing production plants to Kosofe? What is stopping us in bringing skill acquisition centre to Kosofe when we have the land and the human resources": Hon. Lanre Carew stated.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses.
