Kosofe LG, SOHCAHTOA Foundation Distribute 325 GCE Forms to Indigent Students

Kosofe Local Government in conjunction with SOHCAHTOA Foundation on Wednesday at the council's secretariat presented 325 free GCE forms to indigent students in the community.

The presentation of the free GCE forms was undertaken by the executive Chairman of the local government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe who was represented by his vice chairman Hon. Oluwole Sosanya.
Barrister Ogunlewe in his keynote address emphasized the importance of education to the socioeconomic development of the country and his administration's commitment to providing opportunities to students to enhance their academic performance.

While thanking the SOHCAHTOA foundation for partnering the local government by providing additional 150 GCE forms for the second consecutive years, he noted that his administration placed high premium on education development and as such would not toy with the future of the students by playing politics with it.
"Pls permit me to use this opportunity to appreciate our partners in progress for their support in the education sector; SOHCAHTOA, ANTHENA PROFESSIONAL CONSULT and MR. AYANFEOLUWA ADEJOROOLUWA. May God continue to bless you ( Highly grateful and more blessings)

"However, it will interest you to know that this is the second time SohCahToa organization is partnering with us in the distribution of GCE forms. The same number ( 150) forms was donated to us last year.

"I am aware of the challenges confronting our communities particularly the economic hardship which was a result of the fuel subsidy removal that has placed additional burdens on families. It is precisely during such challenging times that our collective resilience and commitment to progress must shine. This initiative is not just about easing the financial burden on parents, but also about sending a resounding message that we stand united in our pursuit of education for all.
"If education is a barometer to measure the attainment of greatness and achieve success, then those of us at the helm of public affairs must endeavour to give the needed opportunity to talented youths particularly the indigent ones who are willing to learn.

"This Administration sees education and health as very key in our society, which must be insulated from politics. What l am saying is that education, just like health care is just too precious to play politics with. Health care of our people is very important and the Education of our youths likewise is indispensable. That is why we give priority to the two and they will continue to get lion shares in our annual budget;" the council chairman stated.

And to realise his administration's education development policy, the Chairman disclosed that the local government has embarked on the execution of following projects:
