"Today's memorable event marks another watershed in the history of our beloved local Government as we are all here to be part of this historic event marking the official commissioning of NULGE Administrative Building, Unveiling of Grassroots Free Shuttle Bus and Staff Coastal Bus.
"If democracy is known as the Government of the people by the people and for the people, then our Administration has practically endeared itself to the tenets by making people the centerpiece of our governance.
"In the past 2 years in office, we have been able to rekindle the lost hope of people in democratic governance by the provision of various infrastructures and other welfare amenities which our people were denied in the past.
"We promised you that our Administration would redesign our local government Council. Our promises are the manifestation of these infrastructures and projects we are commissioning today.
"I want to thank all our party leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, market men and women, CDAs/CDC, faith-based organizations and other groups including our youths. I want to appreciate those who have appreciated my performances with various awards. God bless you all": Ogunlewe stated.
The newly constructed NULGE Administrative building will serve as the headquarters for administrative activities and meetings. It aims to enhance efficiency, communication, and workflow within the local government structure.
Additionally, the provision of five newly constructed staff cubicle toilets addresses a long-standing issue of inadequate restroom facilities. The modern toilets, built to accommodate the increasing staff strength, will ensure a healthy and hygienic work environment for employees.
The unveiling of two grassroots free shuttle buses and a staff bus showcases Moyosore Ogunlewe administration's commitment to improving residents' and staff mobility within the local government area.
The buses will offer free transportation services to residents within Kosofe Local Government Area. The initiative aims to provide much-needed fuel palliative to community members and staff with limited access to private means of transportation.
The member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Kosofe Constituency I, Hon. Sanni Okanlawon, was given the privilege of officially commissioning the NULGE Administrative building, Staff bus and the two grassroots free shuttle buses.
While Alhaji Kehinde Bello, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kosofe LGA, was given the honour of unveiling the staff toilets.
