As the sun rises on the 21st of April 2024, so thus the people of clear conscience across Kosofe Federal Constituency and beyond rise to celebrate the 62nd birthday of Hon. (Prince) Rotimi Agunsoye, mni - the finest and the most iconic lawmaker that has ever represented the Constituency at the National Assembly.


The good people of Kosofe Federal Constituency have every reason to celebrate and honour a man who has truly exemplified what it means to be a dedicated and effective lawmaker.
 Hon. Agunsoye, who served in the House of Representatives from 2015 to 2023, left an indelible mark on his constituency, redefined representation and made a lasting impact on the lives of the people he so diligently and passionately served.


Throughout his tenure, Hon. Agunsoye made it his mission to bring about positive change and development to Kosofe Federal Constituency. His list of accomplishments speaks volumes about his unwavering commitment to serving his constituents with passion and dedication. 


Under his leadership, he sponsored and moved over 40 bills and motions on the floor of the Green Chamber, and facilitated 10 international standard blocks of classrooms across the Constituency, providing better educational facilities for the youth in the Constituency.

 Additionally, recognizing the importance of technology in today's world, he established 5 ICT centres to bridge the digital divide and empower the youth with vital skills for the future.


 He also facilitated 25 solar-powered borehole water systems, ensuring access to clean and safe drinking water for thousands of residents and distributed 13 electricity transformers to communities. 


 In a bid to enhance security in the constituency, he facilitated the construction of a Police post at Isheri-North, ensuring the safety and security of the residents.


 Furthermore, Hon. Agunsoye's commitment to the healthcare welfare of his constituents was evident in the facilitation of an 80-bed Primary Health Care Center at Emmanuel Nursery/ Primary School Ojota, which will provide essential medical services to thousands of people in need.


But, what truly sets Hon. Agunsoye apart is his dedication to empowering the less privileged in the community. Through various empowerment programs, he provided thousands of indigent people with different tools and financial aids to help them improve their lives and become self-reliant.


About a year after he left office, Hon. Agunsoye's legacy as a lawmaker is yet unmatched and his impact on the lives of the people of Kosofe Federal Constituency will be felt for generations to come. 


As we celebrate his 62nd birthday today, let us take a moment to reflect on his exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication, and commitment to creating a better future for a greater number of people.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses. This will be the third time the ruling party will be presenting timetable for its crucial primary elections after its National Convention of March 26, 2022.   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently warned political parties to ensure they meet its own deadline for primary election. * Warned To Stop Addressing Himself As Honourable Kosofe Local Government Area CDC chairman Mr. Segun Babatunde has reportedly been arrested by the men of Nigeria Police Force, Zone Il Onikan Lagos, for allegedly relocating a transformer belonging to a community in Oworoshoki in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State fraudulently. Kosofe Reporters gathered that the CDC chairman was arrested on Friday evening at around 5pm and was accused of conspiring with others of relocating a transformer belonging to Adebare Community Development Association, Oworoshoki to an affluent community in the same area fraudulently.
