NOELLA Foundation, Kosofe LG Join Forces to Combat Hunger With Distribution of 2000 Bags of Rice

In a bid to eradicate hunger and nourish the community, NOELLA Foundation in conjunction with Kosofe Local Government on Wednesday distributed about 2000 10kg bags of rice to the residents of Kosofe Local Government.  The beneficiaries of this laudable initiative consisted of vulnerable individuals, CDC/CDA members, market women, artisans, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The distribution of the food packs which took place in Kosofe Local Government secretariat was supervised by the Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe. Beneficiaries of the food packs who had gathered at the council secretariat as early as 8 am were well received by the representatives of NOELLA Foundation and the local government, while the atmosphere was tinged with excitement and gratitude, as they queued patiently to receive their share of bags of rice. In a tragic turn of events, the Gbagada inward Oworonshoki, particularly the Charlie Boy Bus stop, has been transformed into a hotbed of protest following a horrifying incident that claimed the lives of two Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) street sweepers by a driver fleeing from LASTMA Taskforce.  The tragic incident has led to the blockage of the road by furious protesters, causing severe traffic congestion along Gbagada/Oshodi expressway. Police Launch Manhunt For Thugs In Oworo Who Allegedly Killed Ex-Councillorship Aspirant Over N5000 "Owo Omonile"

The police in Lagos have launched a manhunt for two land grabbers in Oworoshoki, Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, who killed a former councillorship aspirant of the community, Samsondeen Ali over N5000 "owo Omonile" Ali was reportedly murdered on Saturday by one Nurudeen Suraju and Lukmon Taiwo aka "Bobalade of Oworoshoki" while he was erecting a fence around his house on Aralamo Street. Another account has it that the deceased was killed by the two land grabbers while he was trying to erect a fence to block a loophole in his residential area, Precious Seed Estate, where cases of stolen building materials had been reported. Suraju and Taiwo were reported to have stormed the construction site to accoast the deceased for N5000 "Owo Omonile" before he could be allowed to continue with construction activities.
