KOSOFE LOC VISITS OGUDU MECHANIC VILLAGE FOR TOKUNBO ABIRU, AS MECHANIC VILLAGE LEADERSHIP GIVES ASSURANCE OF ITS SUPPORT.
Ahead of December 5 rescheduled Lagos East Senatorial By-election the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Organizing Committee (LOC) in Kosofe Local Government On Saturday October 17th visited Ogudu Mechanic Village to solicit for votes for APC Lagos East Senatorial Candidate Mr. Tokunbo Abiru.
The Team of Kosofe LOC comprising of Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Hon. Afolabi Sofola, former Minister of Works, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe; Director of Special Duties TACT, Hon. Musiliu Aigoro and Kosofe LGA APC Chairman, Alh. Kehinde Bello met with the leadership and members of the Mechanic Village.
The Chairman of the LOC Hon. Afolabi Sofola gave opening
address and informed the gathering that their main purpose of visiting was to
solicit support and votes of the workers of the mechanic village for Mr.
Tokunbo Abiru.

Organisation (TACT) Hon. Musiliu Aigoro while noting the important roles the
mechanic Village had played in the election victories of APC and its candidates
in the recent past implored the mechanic village to cast their votes for Mr.
Tokunbo Abiru on December 5 senatorial By-election.
Hon. Aigoro told the workers of the mechanic village that Mr.
Tokunbo Abiru would provide quality representation as a senator if elected
going by his track record and experience as a financial manager and former
commissioner of finance in Lagos State who he said voluntarily resigned his
political appointment to finish his banking career.
He stated further that Mr. Abiru with his rich experience as a
financial expert has lot of plans for the people of Lagos East Senatorial
district and his planning to create employments and empower the youths and
women through various empowerment schemes if elected.
Kosofe LGA APC Chairman Alh. Kehinde Bello on his own part
advised the workers of Ogudu Mechanic Village to make available their PVC
before election day and also urged them to arrive very early to the polling
units and defend their votes.
The chairman of the mechanic village while thanking the LOC
for its visit assured the LOC of their support for the APC Senatorial Candidate
like they had done in the past for APC and its candidates including Late
Senator Adebayo Osinowo who he said assisted the mechanic Village in many ways.
Another important worker of the mechanic Village Mr. Jimoh
Adeoye assured the LOC of their votes for Mr. Tokunbo Abiru but appealed to the
LOC to help their children who have graduated from tertiary institutions to
secure employments while acknowledging important role Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe
played in helping their children to gain admission into federal universities
while serving as a senator.
In his response, Hon.
Afolabi Sofola told the leadership of the mechanic village to submit five names
to him for temporary employment in the council as contract staff and another
name for Special Adviser to the chairman.
He also presented a cash donation of #500,000 from Mr. Tokunbo
Abiru to the mechanic village towards acquisition of their association bus.
The vote of thanks was offered by Barrister Moyo Ogunlewe
