KAFILAT OGBARA, MOYO OGUNLEWE RALLY SUPPORT FOR ASIWAJU TINUBU, LAUNCH SWAGA KOSOFE CHAPTER

The National Secretary of South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara and the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe have both made clarion calls to the people of Kosofe Local Government to support the presidential bid of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu stating that only he could take the country to the promised land.



  Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara and Barrister Ogunlewe made the calls at the official launching and inauguration of Kosofe Local Government Area Chapter of SWAGA'23 on Thursday at Galaxy Events Centre, Ojota.  

 

Speaking before a large gathering of party faithful and residents at the event, Barrister Ogunlewe declared that it was high time they intensified efforts on propagating Asiwaju Tinubu's presidential quest throughout the country going by his scintillating track record.

 

While describing the APC national leader as a man who is very sensitive to the plight of the people and genuinely committed to the overall development of the country, he made a passionate plea to those who had benefited from his immense leadership benevolence to rally round him at this important moment of his life.

 

He said on his part he would do everything possible within the ambit of his power to give adequate support to all Asiwaju Tinubu support groups in the local government.

 

The council Chairman commended the leadership of SWAGA for the hardwork, commitment and determination, by which they have been pursuing the realisation of Asiwaju Tinubu's presidential ambition, noting that it was the first support group to initiate and embark on such strategic mobilization and sensitisation campaign in the southwest.

 

The National Secretary of the group Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara in her speech extolled the leadership qualities and political exploits of the APC National leader, stressing that only he can salvage the country from the present throes of the political and economic quagmire.

 

And while describing Asiwaju Tinubu as a leader with great visionary acuity, strategic thinking and immense leadership capability, she appealed to the gathering to take SWAGA to the grassroots, stressing that before the country could be salvage, the right leadership would have to be enthroned.

 

Also speaking at the event was Primate Odugbesi, the State coordinator of SWAGA who explained to the gathering that the group is a movement whose main objective is to mobilize non-party members into its fold for the realization of Asiwaju Tinubu presidential quest.


He added that the group had been championing the cause of Asiwaju Presidency before other groups by reaching out to all the notable traditional rulers in Southwest even before Asiwaju Tinubu embarked on similar tour.

 

Primate Odugbesi, shortly after his address, inaugurated the Ward and LGA Coordinators of SWAGA Kosofe Chapter, urging them to in turn inaugurate other officers in their various wards and LGA.

 

The Kosofe APC LGA Chairman, Alhaji Kehinde Bello, who also spoke at the event advised party members to endeavour to update or register for new PVC before it closes.

 

The vote of thanks was given by Mr Dada Segun who stood in for member representing Kosofe federal constituency, Hon. Prince Rotimi Agunsoye.

 

The launching of the support group was graced by eminent personalities such as Prince Fatai Gbadebo, the former Chief of Staff to Kosofe Local Government Chairman; Kosofe CDC Chairman, Mr Segun Babatunde; Education Secretary Kosofe, Hon. Tunde Soneye; Elder Samuel Omowo and Mrs Jumoke Dairo, the former Deputy executive secretary Kosofo Local Government.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses.
