Ramadan: Moyosore Ogunlewe Congratulates Muslim Faithful, Urges Them to Pray For Peace, Progress, Unity And Development of Nigeria

The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe has congratulated Muslim Faithful in the country on the commencement of this year's Ramadan fast.

The council chairman also urged the Muslim Faithful to use opportunity of the Ramadan fast to pray for peace, unity, progress and development of the country.

As Nigerian Muslims join their counterparts all over the world to observe this year’s Ramadan fast, I urge the Muslim faithful to use the fasting period and the Holy month of Ramadan to pray for peace, progress, unity and development of Nigeria.

The month of Ramadan is sacred and holy. It is a month of sober reflection and introspection.


I, therefore, call on the Muslim Ummah to use this holy month to seek God’s intervention in the myriad of challenges facing our country.

The Holy month can be described as a renewed opportunity for the faithful to seek God’s forgiveness and recommit themselves to the ideals of Islam.

I also urge the Muslim faithful to increase their acts of kindness and generosity to the poor and vulnerable in the Holy month.

I congratulate the Muslim faithful in Kosofe local government and around the globe for witnessing yet another blessed month of Ramadan. We thank Allah who has made this possible.

We must endeavour to increase our acts of kindness and generosity by showing love and extending our hands of support to the poor and the needy, as was the usual practice of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

As we all know, Ramadan is a period of spiritual uplift and complete devotion to Almighty Allah. We must, therefore, take advantage of this Holy month to strengthen our commitment to the service of Allah and humanity.

I thank the Muslim community in the local government for its unflinching support of my Administration.

I pray to Allah to accept all our acts of worship in this blessed month and reward us all abundantly.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses. * Warned To Stop Addressing Himself As Honourable Kosofe Local Government Area CDC chairman Mr. Segun Babatunde has reportedly been arrested by the men of Nigeria Police Force, Zone Il Onikan Lagos, for allegedly relocating a transformer belonging to a community in Oworoshoki in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State fraudulently.
