AIGORO URGES APC MEMBERS TO RALLY SUPPORT FOR ASIWAJU TINUBU

A Chieftain of All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Hon. Musiliu Aigoro, has urged all party faithful in Kosofe Local Government Area to rally round APC National Leader and Presidential hopeful Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu saying that the presidential aspirant has paid his due.

Hon. Aigoro made this statement on Friday while addressing party members who had come to attend the first meeting of APC Ward B comprising of Araromi, Ifako, Soluyi and Gbagada.

The APC Chieftain while expressing delight with a large turnout of party members, stressed that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu deserves to become the next president of Nigeria in 2023 because he has contributed in no small measure to the political and economic development of the country.

He, therefore, charged the political gathering to do everything within their capabilities to support the presidential aspiration of the APC National Leader by registering or revalidating their Permanent Voters Cards(PVC) as well as mobilizing others in their neighbourhoods to do the same.
He said although the poor political reward system among other notable reasons in the local government area has made many people politically despondent, he charged them to rise above the prevailing air of political apathy which has seen the local government area came out with appalling results in recent elections. 

While noting that Asiwaju Tinubu's Presidency enjoys humongous support in the northern part of the country, he urged party members in Kosofe local government area to toe a similar line by participating fully in the electioneering process.


And on the ploy of a group of disgruntled group of leaders in the local government area to alter the lists of Ward Executives legally constituted by the National Party, Alhaji Musiliu Aigoro warned them to desist from the mischievous act, saying the attempt would be an exercise in futility.

He stated emphatically that the lists of Ward Executives across the local government are sacrosanct and cannot be changed capriciously by any group or individuals. 

He explained that APC is a national party with chapters in all the states of the federation therefore anything that is done in the Lagos state chapter of the party must align with the directives of the National Party.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses. This will be the third time the ruling party will be presenting timetable for its crucial primary elections after its National Convention of March 26, 2022.   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently warned political parties to ensure they meet its own deadline for primary election.
