Less than a week to the All Progressives Congress House of Assembly Primary elections, Kosofe Constituency 1 Lagos State House of Assembly hopeful, Hon. Lanre Carew has reiterated his commitment to providing holistic quality representation to the people of Kosofe Constituency 1 if elected as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2023.

Hon. Carew made the statement on Friday during an interactive session he had with the ward executives of Ward B consisting of Araromi, Ifako, Soluyi and Gbagada of the Constituency at Araromi Primary School Gbagada.
The leading aspirant for the seat of Lagos State house of assembly while appealing for the support of Ward B Executives stated that the reason he is vying for the seat of Lagos State House of Assembly is not for personal aggrandizement but for a genuine desire to redefine representation by using his membership of the house as a vehicle to drive a significant number of people out of poverty.

Hon. Carew while stating that leadership is about the number of people one can impact positively, noted with dismay that there are a lot of people wallowing in abject poverty in the Constituency as a result of poor representation and lack of employment opportunities.

He said if he is allowed to represent the constituency in the Lagos state House of Assembly in 2023, he would change the appalling narrative by touching the lives of the constituents through impactful empowerment programmes, poverty alleviation schemes and human capacity building which would in turn create a great multiplier effect. 
He also promised to place a great premium on the welfare of the party's executives and ward members.

The business mogul, therefore, Informed the gathering that before February 2023 general elections he would give a car to each of the four ward chairmen to improve their status.

The Farm City Owner assured the ward Executives that he would fulfil all his electoral promises, stressing that he had always been a man of his words.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses. This will be the third time the ruling party will be presenting timetable for its crucial primary elections after its National Convention of March 26, 2022.   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently warned political parties to ensure they meet its own deadline for primary election. * Warned To Stop Addressing Himself As Honourable Kosofe Local Government Area CDC chairman Mr. Segun Babatunde has reportedly been arrested by the men of Nigeria Police Force, Zone Il Onikan Lagos, for allegedly relocating a transformer belonging to a community in Oworoshoki in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State fraudulently.
