   The dethroned Baale of Shangisha in Magodo, Mutiu Ogundare, and his brother have been sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by the Lagos state High Court for staging own kidnap in the state. Ogundare alongside his brother, Opeyemi Mohammed, were convicted by the court on a three-count charge, bordering on conspiracy and fake kidnapping. Both men were arrested alongside Baale’s wife, Abolanle, who was discharged and acquitted after it was proven that she had no link to how both men faked the chief’s abduction in the state. Justice Hakeem Oshodi, who gave the ruling on Tuesday, sentenced the dethroned Baale and his brother to 10 years jail term on the first count brought against them by the state government without an option of fine. On the second count, Justice Oshodi sentenced the duo to one year imprisonment with an option of N200,000 fine and count three to 15 years without an option of fine from both. * Says First Bank and Zenith will commence operations soon The reigning monarch of Oworonshoki Kingdom HRM Oba Babatunde Saliu has facilitated the reconstruction of four inner roads in Oworonshoki Kingdom and the construction of the link road to Iyana Oworo Berger bus stop a few months after his installation. The roads which have been earmarked for reconstruction are Palace road, Miyaki Street, Adam/Onabajo streets and Papa Secretariat. The Lagos State Public Works Corporation has already commenced reconstruction works on Palace road while Kerbs are about to be laid on the link road to Iyana Oworo Berger Bus stop. The reconstruction of four inner roads in Oworonshoki Kingdom is in fulfilment of the promises made by the monarch to his subjects after his installation that he would bring positive transformation to the community. The network of roads when completed is expected to boost smooth vehicular movements in and out of Oworonshoki community.
