OLOWORO OF OWORO MAKES FIRST PUBLIC OUTING AFTER 90 DAYS IN SECLUSION, AS THOUSANDS CELEBRATE KING'S OUTING.

HRM Oba Babatunde Saliu on Monday September 12, 2022 made his first public outing 90 days after his installation as the paramount traditional ruler of Oworonshoki Kingdom.

Oba Babatunde Saliu took a walk through some major streets of Oworonshoki Kingdom alongside thousands of people to symbolise the completion of the mandatory 90 days in seclusion as demanded by Yoruba tradition.
The Oloworo of Oworo was escorted through the major streets and back to the palace by members of the Ogboni fraternity, the palace Chiefs, Oworonshoki council of Elders, Oworonshoki Youth, Women and residents who had thronged his palace as early as 10 a.m.

While moving around the town, Oba Babatunde Saliu occasionally stopped at specific places of historical importance such as Elebo shrine, Ebute, Awanatu Junction, Miyaki Street Junction and Orile Oworonshoki to offer special prayers for the progress, peace and prosperity of the kingdom.
The Palace of the Oloworo was jam-packed with thousands of people as they celebrated his completion of 90 days in seclusion after installation.

Oba Babatunde Saliu was installed as the paramount traditional ruler of Oworonshoki Kingdom on June 15, 2022 after receiving his certificate and instrument of office from the Lagos State Government.
