MOYO OGUNLEWE DEBUNKS SUSPENSION OF APC KOSOFE WARD A CHAIRPERSON.
*Says it's a lie
The executive chairman of Kosofe Local Government Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe has debunked the purported suspension of APC Kosofe Ward A Chairperson Alhaja Sherifat Davies.
Alhaja Davies was reported by an online media outfit (not Kosofe Reporters) to have been suspended by the APC Lagos Chapter over an allegation of anti-party activity and had been replaced with one Omowunmi Usman
The report also stated that the purported suspension was carried out last week Monday in the presence of two GAC leaders based in the local government, namely Otunba Busura Alebiosu and Omoba Olumuyiwa Sosanya; the Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Kosofe Constituency 1, Honourable Sanni Okanlawon; and the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe.
However, the chairman of Kosofe Local Government who was reported to have witnessed Davies purported suspension by the State Chapter of the party has come out to debunk it.
The executive chairman in a chat with our correspondent described the story of the suspension as a lie with no foundation.
"It is a lie. A deliberately fabricated one. No one has been suspended. Nothing of such happened. Tell them I said so", the Council Boss asserted.
Davies also has refuted her purported suspension by the state chapter of the party, stating that she only read the story of her suspension posted by an online media.
In a chat with our correspondent, She said she had not received any letter to that effect from the state chapter of the party neither was she invited by any disciplinary committee over allegations of anti-Party activity levelled against her.
She, however, disclosed that she on Friday submitted a riposte to a petition written against her by a clique of Party members in her Ward who described themselves as concerned Members.
" I have not been suspended by anyone. It is a lie. I remain Ward A Chairperson. I have not even received any letter of suspension from the party nor was I invited by the disciplinary committee of our party over the allegation of anti-Party activity levelled against me.
"Although, on Friday, I submitted a rejoinder to the party at Acme over the petition written against me by a very small group of people in my ward who described themselves as concerned members.", Davies explained.
