LAGOS ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE ON HEALTH INSPECTS ULTRA-MODERN PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE FACILITATED BY REP AGUNSOYE

The Lagos State House of Assembly House Committee on health services on Monday inspected the newly constructed 80-bed ultra-modern Primary Healthcare Centre located at Emmanuel Primary School Ojota in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The about-to-be-commissioned Healthcare Centre was facilitated by the Lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency Hon. (Prince) Rotimi Agunsoye to boost the quality of primary healthcare service delivery in the constituency.

The inspection of the healthcare facility by the house committee which was to assess the current state of the project followed a resolution reached on the floor of the Lagos House of Assembly in March on the urgent need to improve the quality of all Primary Healthcare facilities in the state for effective healthcare service delivery.

Although a federal government-sponsored project, the Ojota Ultra-modern Primary Healthcare facility is expected to be handed over to the Lagos State Government or Kosofe Local Government by Rep Rotimi Agunsoye for proper management immediately after its commissioning.

The house committee on Health Services was led by Hon. Naheem Adams and accompanied by the Kosofe Local Government Executive Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe, and the officials of the Ministry of Health and Primary Healthcare Board.

The Lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly Hon. Femi Saheed was also among the house committee members that came to inspect the healthcare facility.
