OLOWORO EMPOWERS OVER 200 OWORONSHOKI RESIDENTS WITH N1.6M, POS MACHINES AND N10,000 ACCOUNT OPENING

The paramount traditional ruler of Oworoshoki Kingdom, Oba Babatunde Saliu - the Oloworo of Oworoshoki Kingdom - on Wednesday organized an empowerment programme where put smiles on the faces of over 200 indigent members of his Kingdom with a total cash of N1.6M, POS Machines and free Zenith Bank Account Opening for over 200 people.
Oba Babatunde Saliu at the groundbreaking empowerment programme held at his palace in conjunction with Zenith Bank Oworoshoki branch gave three lucky beneficiaries N1,000,000, N500,000 and N100,000 to enhance their businesses.

While 12 beneficiaries were presented with POS Machines with N20,000 naira each as take-off grants. And 200 people were offered ATM cards loaded with N10,000 after opening accounts with the Zenith Bank.
All the beneficiaries of the empowerment were picked through a raffle draw at the palace of the Oloworo before a large number of people who had stormed the place as early as 6 AM.
Mrs. Kabirat Yetunde Lawal a single mother of three emerged as the first lucky winner when her raffle ticket was randomly picked and was given One Million Naira cash.
While Mrs. Titilayo Kareem and Mrs. Apalara Titilayo won N500,000 and 100,000 respectively after their tickets were randomly picked after the first draw.

The cash prizes were instantly handed over to the lucky beneficiaries on the spot by the monarch before an excited jubilant crowd.

The Oba Babatunde Saliu while giving out the cash prizes to the lucky beneficiaries urged them to utilize it prudently to enhance their businesses.

The winner of one million naira cash, Mrs. Kabirat Lawal, a graduate of Business Administration and a single mother of three children, was full of joy and excitement when her ticket was picked.
The native of Ilala in Kwara State while expressing her delight at winning a large amount of money, disclosed that she had been finding it extremely difficult to make ends meet with three children.

She, therefore, thanked the Oloworo for the kind gesture, noting that the king had been impacting and touching the lives of his people right from the moment he ascended the throne of his forebears.

While wishing the King a long and peaceful reign on the throne, she disclosed that she would invest the money in her manicure and pedicure work.

Similarly, Mrs. Titilayo Kareem, a hairdresser who won cash of N500,000 cash couldn't hold back her excitement when her number was announced.
She thanked Oba Babatunde Saliu for coming up with the programme to alleviate the plight of his subjects and wished the King a long peaceful reign on the throne of his ancestors.

She disclosed that the cash empowerment was a timely succour to her as she needed to rent a shop for her hairdressing after she was forced out of the one she had been using due to financial challenges.

It would be recalled that on Tuesday the Monarch had offered over 400 people in the community free eye tests, treatment and eyeglasses.
