Dangote Donates 80,000 10kg Bags Of Rice To Support Vulnerable Households In Lagos

•••Sanwo-Olu Describes Donation As Extreme Kindness, Compassion   Lagos State Government has received 80,000 bags of 10 kilogrammes of rice to bolster its interventions targeted at ameliorating the impacts of current hardship on vulnerable households in the State. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, personally received fully loaded trucks laden with 80,000 units of 10kg bags of rice supplied by Aliko Dangote Foundation for immediate distribution to various segments of the vulnerable population. Africa's richest man and Chairman of Aliko Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, was accompanied by his billionaire associate, Mr. Femi Otedola, and daughter, Fatimah Dangote, to fulfil the corporate social responsibility aimed at supporting the nutritional needs of residents in the fasting period and easing the prevailing situation of hardship. Former Ward C Councillor, IBO, Joins Kosofe Chairmanship Race

Ibraheem Bakare Olawale, a former councillor of ward C in Kosofe local government, has officially announced his intention to run for the position of Kosofe Local Government Chairman in the 2025 elections.  Olawale popularly known as "IBO" by his teeming political admirers made the declaration early this morning through a statement posted on various Whatsapp group platforms. In his statement, Ibo expressed his commitment to providing fair and responsible governance that serves the interests of the people of Kosofe.  He also highlighted his belief in the power of unity and collaboration, stating that with the support of the community, he can achieve his goals. IBO, who is well-known in the area for his previous work as a councillor and was the Chief Whip of Kosofe Local Government Legislative Arm from 2017 - 2021, is confident in his ability to bring positive change to Kosofe Local Government Area.  He promises to roll out a detailed manifesto in the near future...

Rotaract Club Gbagada Rehabilitates Community Borehole On Zion Close Ifako

The Rotaract Club Gbagada, under the leadership of Rotarian Yusuf Idris, has successfully rehabilitated a borehole water system on Zion Close off Bode Joseph Street, Ifako.  The project, which aimed at providing potable water to residents in the community, was officially commissioned on Friday March 15, 2024 by the District Rotaract Representative, Mujeeb Abisogun. The rehabilitated borehole, which had been out of use for quite some time after it was constructed by the former councillor of the area, Ibrahim Bakare Olawale, was now in full working condition thanks to the efforts of the Rotaract Club Gbagada.  Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the President of Rotaract Club of Gbagada, Yusuf Idris, expressed his gratitude to all those who had contributed to the project's success.  And while noting that clean water is basic necessity of existence, he expressed the unwavering commitment of Rotaract Club to provide access to clean water for the well-being of individuals...
