DAVE & KIRTY'S CARE FOUNDATION HOSTS EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME, MEDICAL OUTREACH IN OWOROSHOKI

In a bid to uplift the lives of indigent residents of Oworonshoki Community, the Dave & Kirty's Care Foundation organized an empowerment programme and medical outreach on Sunday, coinciding with the birthday celebration of its founder, Engr. Dr. Olusegun Dave.

The event, which took place at the Muslim Primary School playground in Oworoshoki, witnessed the presentation of empowerment tools, such as grinding machines, sewing machines, and hairdryers, to beneficiaries aimed at enhancing their economic well-being.
Additionally, packs of food items were distributed to attendees who were selected from the CDAs in the Oworonshoki Community. The foundation also presented free prosthetic limbs to physically challenged individuals to restore hope and mobility to their lives.

In a further demonstration of its commitment to the community's welfare, the foundation provided free medical check-ups to residents, promoting health and wellness within the community.
In his speech, Engr. Dr. Olusegun Dave expressed profound joy for the opportunity accorded to give back to the community. He disclosed that the primary goal of Dave Care Foundation is the upliftment of less-privileged individuals, empowering the community through medical outreach programs, food distribution, and empowerment initiatives.

He added that the initiative was borne out of a burning desire to empower the less privileged and give them the freedom to work and live a life of dignity. "We believe that everyone deserves to live a life of dignity and respect, and we are committed to doing our part in making that a reality," he said.
Also in his speech, Dr. Olusegun Dave announced a groundbreaking partnership between the Dave Care Foundation and Kirty's Care Foundation. He explained that the collaboration aimed to create a powerful force that provides humanitarian services and artificial limbs to those in need.

He emphasized the urgent need for such services, noting that approximately 25 million Nigerians live with disabilities, with thousands in Lagos requiring artificial limbs.
The partnership, he averred, would make a tangible difference in the lives of affected individuals, offering them a chance at mobility, independence, and dignity.

The event was attended by important dignitaries, royal fathers, community leaders, and residents, notable among them are: The Olota of Ota, Oba (Prof) Abdul Kabir Adéyemí Obalanlege; the Alaketu of Ketu, Oba Isiaka Balogun Oyero; the GAC member, Senator Anthony Adefuye; Otunba Ayo Olumokun and Chief Jackie Adunni Kazeem.
