  Commercial activity was almost ground to a halt on Saturday in Oworoshoki, Kosofe Local Government area of Lagos State when the Paramount Traditional Ruler of Oworoshoki Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Babatunde Saliu celebrated his first coronation anniversary on the throne of his forebears in grand style. Oba Babatunde Saliu who ascended the throne of his ancestors on July 17th 2022, amidst pomp and pageantry commemorated his coronation at the Oko Cole area of the community with popular Fuji musicians King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall and Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma entertaining thousands of guests who came from far and near. The venue of the occasion was a fascinating spectacle to behold as it was agog with family, friends of the royal family, the people of Oworonshoki Kingdom as well as friends, families and colleagues of the newly installed chiefs of Oworonshoki Kingdom who came from far and near.

Ahead of the Oloworo of Oworonshoki Kingdom's first coronation anniversary which will take place on Saturday, an Islamic Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, TA' AWUN, has provided free medical tests, treatments, drugs and counselling to hundreds of Oworonshoki community. The free medical services were rendered by the NGO as part of his humanitarian services on Thursday at the Palace of the Oloworo of Oworoshoki Kingdom with residents of the community mainly women and children storming the palace in their hundreds. The free medical tests and treatment provided by the Islamic Non-Governmental Organization were on Sugar Levels, Blood Pressure, Infections, Malaria, Mass Deworming, Free consultation and Health education. The paramount traditional ruler of Oworoshoki Kingdom, Oba Babatunde Saliu - the Oloworo of Oworoshoki Kingdom - on Wednesday organized an empowerment programme where put smiles on the faces of over 200 indigent members of his Kingdom with a total cash of N1.6M, POS Machines and free Zenith Bank Account Opening for over 200 people. Oba Babatunde Saliu at the groundbreaking empowerment programme held at his palace in conjunction with Zenith Bank Oworoshoki branch gave three lucky beneficiaries N1,000,000, N500,000 and N100,000 to enhance their businesses.
