Kosofe Constituency 1 Education Committee Submits Report To Sanni Okanlawon
The Education Committee constituted by the Lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 1, Hon. Sanni Okanlawon to provide solution-driven recommendations on how to develop education in the Constituency has finally submitted its reports to the Lawmaker.
The Five-Man Committee on Thursday September 24 submitted a 60-page reports to the Lawmaker at his Lagos State House of Assembly office .
The Education Committee which was set up by Hon. Sanni Okanlawon on May 17 this year comprised of Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Mr. Ganiyu Oyebanjo, Mr. Funsho Oduntan, Mr. Saheed Olaide and Mr. Adam Yusuf. They were given until June 30 to submit their reports.
However in order to do a thorough job, the committee requested for ample time to complete its assignment.
And while presenting its Reports to the Lawmaker on Thursday at his office the committee led by Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe disclosed to Hon. Okanlawon that its Reports contain among other things recommendation for the provision of Scholarship to indigent but brilliant students, setting up of Government Advisory Council on education and Public-Private partnership on education.
Hon. Okanlawon while receiving the reports of the committee thanked them for the meticulous efforts put into the compilation of the Reports and for the recommendations it has come up it.
He noted that the desire to work with solution-driven recommendations towards collaborating and complementing the efforts of the state government in educational development was the major reason behind his setting up of committee on education in Kosofe constituency 1 in the first instance.
Hon, Sanni stated further that the constitution of the committee became imperative in order for Kosofe constituency 1 to take quick advantage of Lagos state government educational policy which is geared towards provision of qualitative education for the pupils and students in the state.
He said therefore, as parts of the recommendations made by the committee, Government would start reaching out to the Corporate Organisations to fulfill their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on education in the Constituency.
