Chief Press Secretary/Senior Special Adviser on Press Matters to the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, COMRADETAIWO FADIPE was on Saturday, 6th February, 2021 honoured by the Council with an award of excellence as a Creative Media personality amidst the pandemic year 2020.

The award was presented to him by Engineer Adesanya during the 2021 Kosofe Budget Retreat held at Swiss D’Palms International Airport Hotel, Ajao Estate in Lagos State.

The recipient, expressed great delight for being honoured by the Council, saying he never saw the award coming. He however appreciated the Council Chairman, Hon. Afolabi Sofola for giving him the platform to showcase his talent in the affairs of Kosofe LG on press matters:

“I was honoured today with an award of Excellence as *Creative Media* during 2021 budget retreat of Kosofe Local Government.


"I use this medium to express my profound appreciation to my Amiable boss, benefactor, mentor and father Hon. Afolabi Sofola.


"My gratitude also goes to Mr. MBS Arole, Head of Administration; HOD Budget, Mrs. Modupe Adekola and the entire management staff of Kosofe Local Government for honouring me with this great award.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses. This will be the third time the ruling party will be presenting timetable for its crucial primary elections after its National Convention of March 26, 2022.   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently warned political parties to ensure they meet its own deadline for primary election. * Warned To Stop Addressing Himself As Honourable Kosofe Local Government Area CDC chairman Mr. Segun Babatunde has reportedly been arrested by the men of Nigeria Police Force, Zone Il Onikan Lagos, for allegedly relocating a transformer belonging to a community in Oworoshoki in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State fraudulently. Kosofe Reporters gathered that the CDC chairman was arrested on Friday evening at around 5pm and was accused of conspiring with others of relocating a transformer belonging to Adebare Community Development Association, Oworoshoki to an affluent community in the same area fraudulently.
