*Bolaji Kareem Boosts Registration Exercise With Free Passport Photographs 

*Doles Out Free Nose Masks In All Polling Units


In an effort to ensure that large number of people residing at Ogudu in Kosofe Local Government area are either registered or revalidated in the ongoing All Progressives Congress Membership registration and revalidation exercise, the Councillor representing Ward G, Hon. Bolaji Kareem has boosted the exercise with the provision of free passport photographs for some residents of the area while also doling out nose masks in all the polling units in the ward. 

In a chat with newsmen immediately after revalidating his membership of APC at his Polling unit at Anglican Primary school Ogudu on Friday, Hon. Kareem disclosed that he had made provision for photographers to snap some residents of the area free of charge in order to encourage them to turn up for the exercise and that over 600 passport photographs had so far been printed.

The councillor, who is popularly known as ‘King Joe’, noted that the exercise had been very peaceful and progressive as over 2000 people had either registered or revalidated their membership of the party as at Friday. 

He also disclosed that in adherence to covid-19 protocols, he had doled out large quantity of face masks in all the polling units in his ward, stressing that this would go a long way in curbing the spread of the deadly virus in the area.
 
In a related development, one of Kosofe Local Government chairmanship aspirants, Hon. Ganiyu Oyebanjo has charged the residents of the local government to come out en-masse and join the ruling All Progressives Congress as the Nationwide membership registration and revalidation exercise of the party continues.


Hon. Oyebanjo who is equally the present Senior Special Assistant on religious matters to the executive chairman of Kosofe Local Government Hon. Afolabi Sofola said, “right now APC is the Party to join, there is no other party aside APC. We are the ruling party and aside from being the ruling party people can see what our president is doing in the area of infrastructures.

“There is no gainsaying it, if the past administrations had done the little president Buhari is doing today then we would not have to be doing them again. So joining APC is the ultimate. It’s the best thing anyone can do for now.” 

GOCO as he is fondly called made it known on friday that he too has revalidated his membership of the party at his polling unit at Anthony and described the exercise as laudable.

 And while noting that the turn-out in his area and had been scanty, he was optimistic that people would troop out for the exercise on weekend.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses.
