MOYO OGUNLEWE REVALIDATES APC MEMBERSHIP, URGES KOSOFE RESIDENTS TO FOLLOW SUIT
A prominent political figure of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kosofe Local Government Area, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe has joined the rest of the political juggernauts in the Local government area to revalidate his membership of the party.
Barrister Ogunlewe revalidated his membership yesterday at his polling unit at Ogudu Grammar School, Ogudu GRA and called on all residents of the Local Government area to come out en-masse and take advantage of the nationwide registration exercise to register or revalidate their membership of APC.
Speaking to newsmen immediately after completing his membership revalidation, Barrister Ogunlewe expressed delight with the conduct of the registration exercise, saying it is a right step in the right direction taken by the leadership of the party.
The son of former Minister of works and Housing, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, averred that the nationwide membership registration and revalidation is very important to the success of the party as it would enable the party to plan ahead and assess its political strength before 2023 general elections.
“It is a good development revalidating the members of the party. There must be a reason for the National Working Committee to have come up with this idea. As a matter of fact, it is good to know the number of members you have in a political party.
“Don’t let us forget Politicians are less than 1% across board and revalidating can help us assess our strength as a political party.
“And APC is an all-inclusive political party. A party that makes sure everybody is carried along. I will advise all residents of Kosofe local government area to come out en-masse and register for APC
Barrister Ogunlewe also expressed satisfaction with the number of people who have come out to register or revalidate their membership of the party, saying the turn-out is very impressive; he however expects more people to come out and register as the exercise continues.
