Kosofe Local Government chairmanship prospect, Hon. Musiliu Aigoro has obtained APC Local Government Chairmanship nomination form ahead of the primary election later this month.

 

Hon. Aigoro obtained his APC chairmanship primary election nomination form yesterday and immediately took it to the Lagos East Senatorial Leaders and GAC members Otunba Bushira Alebiosu and Omoba Muyiwa Sosanya for endorsement.

 

Hon. Aigoro who was the former Director of Special Duties Tokunbo Abiru campaign Team in last year Lagos East Senatorial Bye-election is a top contender for the forthcoming Kosofe Local Government Chairmanship seat.

 

He has been in the party since the days of Alliance for Democracy and has served the party in many capacities meritoriously.

 

Hon. Aigoro began his political carrier in 1991 when he aspired for House of representatives in Lagos island immediately after finishing his National Youth Service Corps and was persuaded to step down for Hon. Omotilewa Aro-Lambo.

 

He was, however, compensated with protocol officer (chief of staff) to late Prince Ademola Adeniji Adele, the former chairman of Lagos Island Local Government.

 

A year after, he was appointed as the first executive secretary of Lagos island sports commission where he played a pivotal role in the establishment and upgrade of four notable sports and recreation centres in the area namely:  Molade Okoya Lawn Tennis Court, J.K Randle Swimming Pool, Eleganza Sports centre and Bombata sports centre.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses. This will be the third time the ruling party will be presenting timetable for its crucial primary elections after its National Convention of March 26, 2022.   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently warned political parties to ensure they meet its own deadline for primary election. * Warned To Stop Addressing Himself As Honourable Kosofe Local Government Area CDC chairman Mr. Segun Babatunde has reportedly been arrested by the men of Nigeria Police Force, Zone Il Onikan Lagos, for allegedly relocating a transformer belonging to a community in Oworoshoki in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State fraudulently.
