LG POLL: AGBOYI-KETU STANDS STILL FOR DELE OSINOWO AS CHAIRMANSHIP, COUNCILLORSHIP CAMPAIGNS KICK OFF IN GRAND STYLE

 


 

Commercial activities in Agboyi-Ketu area were almost grinded to a halt yesterday as Agboyi-Ketu All Progressives Congress Kicked off its electioneering campaign for the chairmanship flagbearer, Mayor Dele Osinowo, and other councillorship candidates for the fast approaching July 24 Local Government elections.

 

The Agboyi-Ketu All Progressives Congress party secretariat situated at 42 Doyin Omololu Street, Ketu was yesterday’s afternoon agog and resplendent as thousands of party loyalists, Artisans, Traders, other ethnic nationalities and physically challenged thronged the venue of the campaign Kick-off to give their supports to the incumbent executive chairman of the council for another term in office.

 

The atmosphere at the party secretariat was also electrifying with razzmatazz and fanfare as the mammoth gathering were treated to delightful music and entertainment by various local musicians and Hillary Jackson Dancing group.  

 

The campaign Kick-off was graced by a host of crème de la crème of Agboyi-Ketu party Chieftains such as Chief Stephen Adeola Oyedele, APC Apex Leader Agboyi- Ketu; Otunba Yetunde Arobieke, Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment; Hon. Abiodun Akhigbe, Former Commissioner Lagos state Audit Service Commission and the LGA party caretaker chairman, Hon. Sunday Odekomaiya.

 

The Apex leader of Agboyi-Ketu, Chief Stephen Oyedele, presented Mayor Dele Osinowo to the massive gathering as the Party’s chairmanship flagbearer while his running mate Mrs. Folake Kayode was presented by Otunba Yetunde Arobieke.

 

Presenting Mayor Osinowo to the excited gathering, Chief Stephen Oyedele, made a strong appeal for an intense electioneering campaign for the candidates of the party in order to ensure over overwhelming victory at the polls on July 24.

 

While Otunba Yetunde Arobieke, the first Executive Chairperson of the LCDA equally appealed to the gathering to go all out on July 24 and vote en-masse for Mayor Dele Osinowo.

 

She noted that all the leaders in Agboyi-Ketu are strongly in support of Mayor Osinowo’s second term chairmanship quest due to his scintillating first term performance in office.

 

But Hon. Abiodun Akhigbe in his own address praised Mayor Osinowo for his remarkable first-term performance and advised him to remain focus and not be carried away.

 

He urged the gathering to support the candidacy of Mayor Osinowo in order to reap more benefits of his administration in his second term in office.
