Dele Oshinowo Declares Newly Constructed Agboyi-Ketu Shopping Arcade Open For Commercial Use, As Omoba Sosanya, Pa Oyedele, Femi Saheed Laud Development

The Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo has formally declared the newly constructed Agboyi-Ketu Shopping Arcade open for commercial and business activities.

The executive chairman declared the magnificent shopping complex, located at Adeola Oyedele Road, formerly Ajelogo Market Road, open on Monday at a well-attended ceremony.

While commissioning the shopping complex, Mayor Osinowo made it known that the construction of the edifice was initiated by his predecessor and was done under Public Private Partnership Arrangement.

He stated that the completion of the shopping complex showed the commitment and determination of his administration to transform the locality and make Agboyi- Ketu the commercial hub and investment destination in Lagos State. 

He stated further that the shopping complex along with other ongoing developmental projects in the area would create a multiplier effect by creating employment opportunities, revenue generation and ultimately boosting the IGR of the council.
The event was graced by a member of Governor's Advisory Council, Omooba Olumuyiwa Sosanya; APC Chieftain in Kosofe, Pa Stephen Oyedele; Member representing Kosofe Constituency 2, Hon. Femi Saheed and State Treasurer, Hon. Abiodun Akhigbe.

In his Goodwill message, Omoba Olumuyiwa Sosanya applauded Mayor Delẹ Osinowo for transforming the area into a market space.
He appealed to the residents, especially women, to seize the opportunity and engage themselves in productive ventures by forming a cooperative society, adding that he was willing to offer assistance in the area.

Pa Stephen Oyedele in his speech lauded Mayor Osinowo for successfully transforming the swampy area into a viable commercial centre for the benefit of the community.

He urged him not to rest on his laurels and appealed to the councillors of the LCDA to continue to work amicably with the council chairman.

While Hon. Femi Saheed described the construction of the shopping complex and other laudable infrastructural projects done by Mayor Dele Osinowo led administration as unprecedented in the annals of the LCDA.
He said the council chairman has proved his capability beyond any reasonable doubt with his scintillating performance and thanked the party leaders for making the right choice.
Other important personalities that attended the commissioning were Alaketu of Ketu, HRM Oba Isiaka Oyero, Olu of Agboyi, HRM Oba Monsuru Oladega; former Assistant Publicity Secretary, Lagos APC, Hon. Abiodun Salami; former council boss, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Hon. Tunji Ilelaboye and Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu APC, Hon. Sunday Odekomaya.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses.
