Sanni Okanlawon sponsored debate competition for secondary schools in Kosofe Constituency 1 just as its representative Master Christopher Precious emerged as one-day lawmaker. In the debate competition tagged “Hon. Okla Sponsored Kosofe Constituency 1 secondary schools debate competition” held at Immaculate Heart Hall Maryland on Wednesday, Ogudu Senior Grammar School represented by Master Christopher Precious came first ahead of other Schools which participated at the maiden edition of the competition. A total of seven secondary schools based in Kosofe Constituency 1 took part at the final stage of competition. • As Council Boss, Mayor Dele Oshinowo promises more development projects In a bid to provide safer and smoother roadway for motorists, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA under the Chairmanship of Mayor Dele Oshinowo has completed the resurfacing of Ajibola Street, Alapere. Ajibola Street is a major thoroughfare that provides access for commuters to connect Ogudu Ori-oke. The Council Mayor noted that the completion of the project signals another huge testament of his administration's commitment to keeping roads in the LCDA in a state of good repair. Mayor Dele further noted that Ajibola Street is a critical road in the locality, stressing that his administration cannot afford to have potholes risking the safety of motorists and pedestrians along such an important thoroughfare. The council mayor further promised more development projects for residents of the locality during his remaining years in office.

The Executive Chairman of Kosofe local government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe, yesterday, presented a budget of N2,999,470,814.42(Two Billion Nine Hundred And Ninety Nine Million, Four Hundred And Seventy Thousand, Eight Hundred And Fourteen Naira, Forty Two Kobo) to the council's legislative assembly. A Councillor in Agbado -Okeodo LCDA in Lagos, Ogunyemi Olatunji Emmanuel, has run into trouble water with the Independent and Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC. The Councilor who represents Ward G in the LCDA was at the Ikoyi office of ICPC on Tuesday following an invitation by the anti-graft agency over a petition written against him. The anti corruption agency is reported to be investigating the councilor for an alleged corruption and abuse of office  contrary to certain provisions of the constitutions of Nigeria. According to a statement signed and made available to our media outfit by the executive chairman of the Human Rights Organization, Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman, t he planned egungun festival is a ploy to unleash mayhem in the town and deal with perceived enemies.
