Member representing Kosofe Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber, Hon. Prince Rotimi Agunsoye was on Thursday honoured with a merit award as the most performing Lagos Federal Representative of the year 2021.

The award was presented to him at his Abuja office by Southwest First Alert Magazine in recognition of his outstanding performances, impacts and achievements as a federal lawmaker.
The media outfit also pointed to the success of mega empowerment Programmes the lawmaker recently organized for his constituents as one of the reasons he was honoured with the merit award.

"This is the way south west alert magazine would like to appreciate you for outstanding efforts and tremendous contributions in putting Kosofe Federal Constituency on good and productive governance path. As one of the most influential house of representative members in Nigeria your legacies and contributions cannot be overemphasized. We recognize your achievements, indelible impacts and uncommon outstanding performances at the national assembly and your constituency level. Most importantly, the amazing empowerment you did recently for the good people of kosofe federal constituency and Lagos state. This is one of the reason you merit the award", the media outfit stated.


While receiving the award, the chairman House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals thanked the magazine for the honour saying the award would spur him to provide more quality representation to his people and speak their minds on the floor of the green chamber.

He stressed that "there was nothing more rewarding than having the interest of the people at heart. And having the interest of the people at heart is serving humanity which is the best service to God".
While noting that the southwest First Alert Magazine is contributing his quota to national development with the award, he urged other media outfits in the country to be factual and objective with their reports.

He made it known that he very much appreciate his critics and welcome constructive criticism as they make him to be more focus and acquire more knowledge.

Hon. Agunsoye ended by dedicating the award to the people of Kosofe federal Constituency for the great support given to him and, therefore, promised to use remaining years in office to work assiduously for the benefit of humanity, set good example for the youth and leave behind enduring legacy.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses. This will be the third time the ruling party will be presenting timetable for its crucial primary elections after its National Convention of March 26, 2022.   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently warned political parties to ensure they meet its own deadline for primary election. * Warned To Stop Addressing Himself As Honourable Kosofe Local Government Area CDC chairman Mr. Segun Babatunde has reportedly been arrested by the men of Nigeria Police Force, Zone Il Onikan Lagos, for allegedly relocating a transformer belonging to a community in Oworoshoki in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State fraudulently.
