Eid-el-Fitr: Hon Okanlawon felicitates with constituents, Nigerians
......urges all to imbibe lessons of Ramadan
As Muslim faithful in Nigeria join the rest of the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el- fitr, Chairman, House Committee on Education (Ministry/Agencies), representing Kosofe Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon, has felicitated with Muslims across the country.
Hon Okla who specially rejoiced with
Muslims in his Constituency as well as other Muslim faithful across the country for successful completion of the Holy Month, urged all Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan and the spirit of unity, patience, obedience, and tolerance for peaceful coexistence.
Hon Okla in a statement issued on Monday, urged the Muslim Ummah to use the end of Ramadan and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration to continue to practice acts of charity, peaceful co-existence with their neighbours and to imbibe fully the rudimentary components of the fasting period and the tenets of Islam as taught by Prophet Mohammad (SAW).
He said, "As we bid farewell to Ramadhan, I enjoin all Muslims not to lose sight of the lessons inherent in the spiritual rejuvenation, sacrifice, charity, peaceful co-existence and self-deprivation that are some of the rudimentary components of the fasting period. We should also abide by the tenets of Islam as taught by Prophet Mohammed (SAW) and continue to remain closer to Almighty Allah".
He wished all Muslims in Kosofe Constituency 1, and all Nigerians a blissful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
