Ogunlewe Commiserates With Former Kosofe Chair Over Mother’s Death.

The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon.Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe has sent condolences to the former Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barr.(Omoba) Ademuyiwa Adedeji, on the death of his mother, Late(Mrs) O. Victoria Adedeji. Mrs Adedeji reportedly died on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the age of 92. In his condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Taiwo Fadipe, Barrister Ogunlewe urged the former Chairman to take solace in the fact that his mother lived a good life during which she contributed invaluably to the course of humanity. He paid a glowing tribute to Adedeji for being a good mother and enjoined the family and people of Kosofe to mourn the departed matriarch of the Adedeji family. It was a carnival-like atmosphere yesterday at Oworonshoki as the youth of the town took to the streets in support of the new monarch Oba Babatunde Saliu (Elebo II) as he celebrated his 14-day ascension to the throne of his ancestors. The Youth under the aegis of Oworonshoki Indigenous Youth had stormed the palace of Oba Babatunde Saliu to pledge their allegiance before  of the town. Joined by the Wife of Oloworo of Oworo, Olori Bukola Saliu and some other notable members of Bashir Oloruntoyin Royal Family, the procession slithered through major streets of Oworonshoki such as Miyaki, Oworo road, Elebo, Surulere and back to the palace dancing and singing to the delight of the residents of the community. Aftermath the emergence of a new traditional ruler in Oworonshoki Kingdom, a group of opinion leaders in Oworoshoki land, collectively known as Oworo Council of Elders, has come out to throw its weight behind the Kingship of its new monarch Oba Babatunde Saliu ( Elebo II) - The Oloworo of Oworonshoki Kingdom. Fuel Scarcity: Nigerian Petrol Marketers, IPMAN Directs Members To Sell Fuel At N180 Per Litre and Above

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) on Monday asked marketers across the country to begin dispensing petrol at N180 per litre and above. The union gave this directive because it claimed it was no longer possible to sell at the government’s cap of N165 per litre. This was disclosed by the Lagos Zonal Chairman of IPMAN, Akin Akinrinade, in an interview with Channels TV. He explained the reasons behind the fuel scarcity, stating that the situation across the state was as a result of the operating environment which had become hostile to their businesses. He mentioned that the petroleum marketers were not on strike as circulated but had found it difficult to operate considering the dependence on diesel whose price has skyrocketed. Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress in Kosofe Local Government Area Hon. Musiliu Aigoro and Alhaji Olalekan Abubakir on Monday paid a visit to HRM Oba Babatunde Saliu (Elebo II) - the new Oloworo of Oworonshoki Kingdom to commiserate with him on his ascension to the kingly throne of Oworonshoki Kingdom. The duo were accompanied to the palace of Oloworo by some of their loyalists. LAGOS FIRST LADY KICKS OFF INTEGRATED MEASLES CAMPAIGN IN KOSOFE AS MEASLES VACCINATION COMMENCES ACROSS THE STATE

* Moyosore Ogunlewe urges Parents to get their kids vaccinated at the Primary Health Care Centres The  Integrated Measles vaccination exercise for children between the age of 9 to 59 months in Lagos State was on Thursday Kicked off in Kosofe Local Government by the wife of the Lagos State Governor Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu.  The Kick-off ceremony heralding the commencement of the vaccination exercise today across 20 local government and 37 LCDAs  of the State was hosted by the executive chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe. Speaking at the event, Dr. Sanwo- Olu explained that the campaign which used to take place every three years was geared towards preventing measles infection among children between the ages of 9 to 5 years and would commence on Friday June 17 and end on July 4 . The Lagos first Lady noted that the disease is highly communicable as most children contact it from other children  down with fever-related illnesses.
