KOSOFE LG MANAGEMENT TEAM PAYS HOMAGE TO FORMER VICE-CHAIRMAN - HRM BABATUNDE SALIU

The Management Team of Kosofe Local Government on Monday paid homage to their former Vice-Chairman who is now the new monarch of Oworonshoki Kingdom, HRM Oba Babatunde Saliu (Elebo II) of Oworonshoki Kingdom.


The Management Team of the council joined the growing numbers of people in the Local Government Area and beyond who had visited the New Oloworo of Oworoshoki Kingdom to felicitate him on his installation since the news was broken last week Wednesday.


The team which included Director Administration and Human Resources, Mrs T.J.ODUBEKO; Director Agriculture & Rural Service, Mrs. Akintola; HOD Education and Library Service, Mr. Najimu Shashideen; HOD Works & Infrastructure, Mrs Adesanya Olufunmilayo; Head of Legal Unit, Mrs. Talabi Oluwakemi; Head Environmental Services, Mrs. Abijo Nurat; Clerk of the house, Mr Bolaji Balogun; Head Public Affairs Unit, Mrs Adewale Toluwase; Head ICT, Miss Pedro and Head Tourist, Mrs Gibson-White O, were led to the palace of the Oloworo by the Head of Administration Mr. MBS Arole and NULGE Chairman Mr. Ade Orababa.




It will be recalled that on Saturday, the council's Executive Chairman Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe had led his councillors, executives and party leaders to pay homage to his former Vice.



After paying obeisance and wishing the king a peaceful reign, the Management team took group photograghs with the monarch.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses. This will be the third time the ruling party will be presenting timetable for its crucial primary elections after its National Convention of March 26, 2022.   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently warned political parties to ensure they meet its own deadline for primary election. * Warned To Stop Addressing Himself As Honourable Kosofe Local Government Area CDC chairman Mr. Segun Babatunde has reportedly been arrested by the men of Nigeria Police Force, Zone Il Onikan Lagos, for allegedly relocating a transformer belonging to a community in Oworoshoki in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State fraudulently. Kosofe Reporters gathered that the CDC chairman was arrested on Friday evening at around 5pm and was accused of conspiring with others of relocating a transformer belonging to Adebare Community Development Association, Oworoshoki to an affluent community in the same area fraudulently.
