OWORO COUNCIL OF ELDERS PLEDGES ALLEGIANCE TO OBA BABATUNDE SALIU, SAYS HE IS DIVINELY ORDAINED
Aftermath the emergence of a new traditional ruler in Oworonshoki Kingdom, a group of opinion leaders in Oworoshoki land, collectively known as Oworo Council of Elders, has come out to throw its weight behind the Kingship of its new monarch Oba Babatunde Saliu ( Elebo II) - The Oloworo of Oworonshoki Kingdom.
The Oworo Council of Elders comprising of important community leaders in Oworoshoki such as Chief Wasiu Aro Jinadu, Chief Sharafa Nofiu, the Saraki Adinni of Oworoshoki; Chief Jimoh Musiliu Muritada, Sanmori Adinni of Oworoshoki and an elder simply known as "solution", pledged its allegiance to Oba Babatunde Saliu (Elebo II), describing him as a special gift from God to the Kingdom.
The council of Elders, in a separate interview with Kosofe Reporters on Monday further described the new King as a humble and a very respectful personality with listening ears.
They opined that the emergence of the new Oloworo has given the kingdom a new lease of life as there were no more social disturbances and bloodletting in Oworonshoki after the installation of the new Oloworo.
Chief Wasiu Aro Jinadu said Oba Babatunde Saliu is the Choice of the entire people of Oworonshoki and thanked God for answering their prayers by giving them the new monarch.
He described the new monarch as a very humble, respectful and generous person with listening ears.
He noted that since Oba Babatunde Saliu ascended to the stool of Oloworo, the entire community has been peaceful.
While Chief Sharafa Nofiu, the Saraki Adinni of Oworoshoki Mosque said, "we are happy with the emergence of the Oloworo. It is exactly what we wanted that God has given us.
"Since he was installed and given certificate and Staff of office we have noticed a remarkable change in Oworo".
In a similar vein, Chief Jimoh Musiliu Muritadah, the Sanmori Adinni of Oworoshoki Mosque said, " the new Oloworo is the King we have been expecting. If you take a thorough look at the town of Oworo, you would see peace and tranquillity have returned since his emergence.
"Both young and old are happy with him. He will live long and prosper".
While another highly respected member of the elders' council popularly known by his sobriquet "Solution" said, His Royal Majesty Oba Babatunde Saliu is a gift from God and that since his emergence the town has been peaceful. No more bloodletting.
He also described the King as a young man endowed with the wisdom of Solomon.
He said, contrary to the statement made in some quarters, both the young and old are happy over his emergence and advised the aggrieved side to sheath its sword and work in unison with the new Oloworo.
Solution also lavished praise on Baale of Gboungboun Prince Idris Saliu for standing by and supporting the new King.
