Religious Clerics Express Confidence In New Oloworo, Task Him On Development, Peaceful coexistence

As the people of Oworonshoki Kingdom on Sunday celebrated the 40 days installation of their new monarch Oba Babatunde Saliu (Elebo II), religious clerics have expressed confidence in the ability of the new monarch to attract development to Oworonshoki community while charging him to create peaceful coexistence among various groups.


Alhaji Afeez Aremu, the Chief Imam of Ajah Central Mosque and Pastor Jones Akinseye in separate chats with newsmen were of the opinions that Oba Babatunde Saliu has the capability and experience to attract laudable development to Oworonshoki community 


Alh. Aremu described the new king as a trustworthy person with good character and that his reign as the king would engender more developments to the community.

“I am here to celebrate with my traditional leader, newly installed King in Oworonshoki.

” I have known him for the past 20 years, he is a vibrant and we’ll educated person and we know he is capable of handling the community perfectly,” he said.
According to him, we want our King to create more peaceful coexistence among the residents especially between the religious groups, adding that such peaceful coexistence would bring more developments to the Oworonshoki town.

Aremu also urged the residents to cooperate with the traditional leader to ensure more progress within the town.

“We want the residents to give the new King more support to bring more progress and developments to the community.
The King is an honest and trustworthy person and a great politician. With the cooperation of the residents more developments will emerge in the community,” he added.

Pastor Jones Akinseye, of the Gospel Apostolic Church Lagos urged the King to create peaceful atmosphere among the religious groups in the community, adding that such peaceful coexistence would advance the community in economy and ensure social amenities.
“We are sent by our General Overseer Rev. Akinbode Sadela, to congratulate the new King and celebrate with him.

“Actually our expectations from him is to embrace God and create atmosphere to serve God with fear.

“We want our new King to influence the government in provision of amenities that would be useful for the residents.

“At the same time we the residents at the community should support the traditional leader and always pray for him".
The 40 days installation celebration of Oba Babatunde Saliu was attended by traditional fraternity, palace Chiefs, community leaders, youth and women of Oworonshoki community.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses.
