ADIEU, YEYE KEMI NELSON!
It saddens me to my bone marrow to hear of the sudden passing of my beloved Yeye Kemi Nelson - an astute politician, a thorough-bred party faithful, a grassroots marshall, a public servant of note and evidently a voice of the womenfolks and indeed the downtrodden.

In commiserating with the bereaved Nelson family, friends, associates and by extension the govt and esteemed people of Lagos State, I must not fail to mention the unrivalled achievements recorded in the brilliant dossier of meritorious service paraded by the exemplary Yeye Kemi Nelson.

It would no doubt be an herculean task finding anyone who can conveniently step into her giant-sized shoes in lieu of contributions made to nation building, whether as the Lagos State Commissioner of Women Affairs & Poverty Alleviation, APC Lagos State Women Leader, APC National Deputy Women Leader or Executive Director of the Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund.

Her enviable status as the only female member of the exclusive Governance Advisory Council attests to the hallmark of excellence she possessed to merit a seat in the council of wise men that molded our Lagos State to the cynosure of all eyes it is today. 

The indelible marks left in the footprints of time by this distinguished personality however transcended to role modelling in the many lives she touched while she acted her lead role on the life stage. Yeye Kemi Nelson was someone we all looked up to for leadership and support, a mother figure and for me one of many indefatigable pillars of support.

Posterity will forever remember that great Amazon who came, saw and conquered; Kemi Nelson carved a niche for herself in the male-dominated political landscape of Lagos and the nation at large.

Adieu my good friend! Adieu my dearest sister!

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses. This will be the third time the ruling party will be presenting timetable for its crucial primary elections after its National Convention of March 26, 2022.   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently warned political parties to ensure they meet its own deadline for primary election. * Warned To Stop Addressing Himself As Honourable Kosofe Local Government Area CDC chairman Mr. Segun Babatunde has reportedly been arrested by the men of Nigeria Police Force, Zone Il Onikan Lagos, for allegedly relocating a transformer belonging to a community in Oworoshoki in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State fraudulently. Kosofe Reporters gathered that the CDC chairman was arrested on Friday evening at around 5pm and was accused of conspiring with others of relocating a transformer belonging to Adebare Community Development Association, Oworoshoki to an affluent community in the same area fraudulently.
