OLOWORO OF OWORO CELEBRATES ISESE DAY, PRAYS FOR PEACE PROSPERITY, DEVELOPMENT
* Reiterates Determination To Transform Oworonshoki To A Smart City
As the custodian of the people's culture and traditions, the paramount traditional ruler of Oworonshoki Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Saliu (Elebo II) on Saturday joined the rest of Yoruba Sons and daughters at home and in diaspora to celebrate this year Isese day.
Oba Saliu played host to members of Yoruba traditional fraternity group otherwise known as "Ògbóni" from Oworonshoki and Lagos Island at his palace to mark the Isese day.
The traditional religious group after performing various esoteric songs, dance, prayers and rites, divined to the king that his reign would witness great peace, tranquility, prosperity and accelerated infrastructural development of Oworonshoki Kingdom.
In response, Oba Babatunde Saliu while praying for peace and prosperity of Oworonshoki Kingdom and its inhabitants, reiterated his determination to transform Oworonshoki community to a smart city like that of Dubai.
This is the first Isese Day that Oba Babatunde Saliu would celebrate since his installation as Oba of Oworonshoki Kingdom over two months ago.
