AGUNSOYE, AGAIN, TRAINS 150 CONSTITUENTS ON FISHERIES VALUE CHAIN

No fewer than 150 constituents of Kosofe Federal Constituency are presently undergoing a two-day training on Fisheries Value Chains Aquaculture at the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos.

The training was facilitated by the Lawmaker representing the Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives Hon. Prince Rotimi Agunsoye under the auspices of Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Lagos.




The programme came three days after he had empowered 200 Youth and Women of the constituency with N50,000 each as start-up capital on Catering.

The beneficiaries of the empowerment programme on Fisheries were selected from the three local council areas in the Constituency namely Kosofe Local Government, Agboyi/Ketu LCDA and Ikosi/Isheri LCDA.
And at the two-day training, participants will undergo training on various aspects of the acquaculture value chain including food fish products, breeding, feed formulation, ornamental fish production, fish processing and preservation among others.

On the first day, participants were taught theoretical aspect of the fisheries value chain and will be taught the practical aspect of it on Tuesday.
The training is part of the Federal Government Vocational training on fish production, processing and marketing for unemployed citizens facilitated by the Chairman House committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to empower and build the capacity of his constituents.
