REP ROTIMI AGUNSOYE PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO FORMER FEDERAL LAWMAKER, DAYO ALEBIOSU OVER WIFE'S DEATH
The Lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Prince Rotimi Agunsoye, on Thursday, paid a condolence visit to his predecessor Hon. Dayo Alebiosu over the demise of his wife.
Hon. Agunsoye was at the family home of the Alebiosu at Mende Maryland on Thursday afternoon and commiserated with the bereaved former Lawmaker and his family including GAC leader Otunba Busira Alebiosu over the death of Mrs. Yetunde Alebiosu.
During the visit Hon. Agunsoye expressed his deepest sympathy to Hon. Dayo Alebiosu over the sad development and prayed to Almighty God to give him the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The Chairman House committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) was also among scores of sympathizers that accompanied the Alebiosu family to Ebony Vaults Ikoyi where Mrs. Alebiosu was buried.
In a chat with newsmen immediately after the interment, Hon. Agunsoye expressed deep sadness over the sudden demise of the deceased, describing it as a painful one.
While noting that he and Dayo Bush are brothers and political associates, he said he had been acquainted with his late wife for a very long time.
He, therefore, prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family she left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
"Honourable Dayo-Bush Alebiosu happens to be my brother apart from being a political associate. And I had known the wife for so many, many years. And it's very sad that this has happened.
"But what do we do? We cannot query God. It is painful. It is extremely painful. But we have to take heart because we know that in the word of God he said there is a time and a season for everything under the sun.
"A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to be happy and a time for sober reflection. This is a sad time for every one of us. But in all that he said we should be thankful to him. So I pray that God will console Dayo bush and the family she left behind.
"And God will give each and everyone the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. It's a great loss. And I pray that God will forgive the deceased and grant the deceased eternal rest": Agunsoye stated.
