Kosofe, Fidelity Bank Hold "WALK FOR NATURE'' In Support Of Sustainable Ecotourism.

The Kosofe local government under the Chairmanship of Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, on Saturday, held a Fitness Walk tagged, "Walk For Nature" in conjunction with Fidelity Bank PLC.

"Walk for Nature" is an annual program of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation designed to create awareness among the people about nature conservation and good environmental practices in Nigeria.
This year's event was sponsored by Fidelity Bank, in line with its commitment to sustainable initiatives and investing in the future of local communities and the environment.      
  
The 2023 edition of the "Walk for Nature" event was themed "We advocate solutions to plastic pollution".

The Foundation for Sustainable Ecotourism took off from Kosofe local secretariat at about 7:30 am through the Ogudu axis, a distance of about 4km and then returned to Kosofe local government secretariat.     
Those on the walk included the House of Assembly Member, Hon. Okanlawon Ganiyu Sanni, Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government; Hon. Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Leader of the House, Hon. Oluloro Idowu; SLG, Hon. Fatai Gbadebo; Councillor representing Ojota, Ward F, Hon. Sulaimoh Baruwa, Councillor representing Mende, Ward E, Hon. Hakeem Oshijirin; Chief of Staff, Abiona Akinyemi; Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Kunle Olorunfunmi (Maf); Supervisor for Tourism, Hon. Oduwaye Odubamise; Supervisor for Works, Hon. Taiwo Balogun; Special Adviser on Special Duties, Hon. Omokhudu Alufohai; Environmental officers, Fidelity Bank representatives amongst others.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses. This will be the third time the ruling party will be presenting timetable for its crucial primary elections after its National Convention of March 26, 2022.   The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recently warned political parties to ensure they meet its own deadline for primary election. * Warned To Stop Addressing Himself As Honourable Kosofe Local Government Area CDC chairman Mr. Segun Babatunde has reportedly been arrested by the men of Nigeria Police Force, Zone Il Onikan Lagos, for allegedly relocating a transformer belonging to a community in Oworoshoki in Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State fraudulently.
