Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye's 62nd Birthday Celebration Records Huge Turnout of Kosofe Mandate Movement, as Enilolobo, Adejare, Kayode Opeifa Pay Tributes

Members of the Mandate Movement in Kosofe Federal Constituency came out in droves on Sunday to celebrate the 62nd birthday of the immediate past member House of Representatives, Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. ( Prince) Rotimi Agunsoye, mni. 

The event, held at Emmanuel High Street in Ojota, was a vibrant and joyous occasion, with guests decked out in colourful orange headgear and caps, creating a festive and carnival-like atmosphere.


The birthday bash was graced by prominent members of the Mandate Movement in Lagos State, including the State Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo and his executive members.

 Also in attendance were the former member House of Representatives, Dr. Adejare and his wife; former Lagos State Commissioner for Transport Dr. Kayode Opeifa; Mandate Movement State Leader, Barrister Yomi Tijani; Mr. Adeboye Durotimi and Engr. Gbenga Kolawole.

As the event progressed, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and celebration as Hon. Agunsoye was joined on the dance floor by his ardent loyalists to render thanksgiving songs and praise.

In addition to the celebratory atmosphere and the impressive turnout of Mandate Movement members, guests were also treated to delicious food, drinks and an entertaining performance by popular local juju musician Seyi Michael.

Seyi Michael taking to the stage, captivated the audience with his energetic and melodious juju music. His performance added an extra layer of excitement and enjoyment to the birthday celebration, as guests danced and sang along to the rhythm of his music.

 In addition to the celebratory atmosphere at the birthday bash, esteemed dignitaries took turns to pay glowing tributes to the celebrant.
Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo, the Mandate State chairman, praised Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye for his dedication and leadership, highlighting his unwavering commitment to serving the community. 
Dr. Kayode Opeifa and Dr. Adejare also commended the celebrant for his exemplary service and emphasized his passion for making a difference in the lives of the people in Kosofe Federal Constituency.
While Mr. Durotimi Adeboye, another distinguished guest at the event, lauded Hon. Agunsoye for his selfless contributions to the development of the constituency and his tireless efforts in advocating for the welfare of the people.

The birthday bash was indeed a fitting tribute to Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, mni, with guests from all walks of life coming together to celebrate and honour his remarkable achievements. 

The outpouring of admiration and respect from these dignitaries further underscored the importance of Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye's contributions to the community.

The overwhelming turnout of members of the Enilolobo-led Mandate Movement at the 62nd birthday party served as a powerful testament to the dominance and influence of the movement in Kosofe Federal Constituency.

Similarly, the unwavering support and presence of such a large gathering at the birthday party also underscore the deep-rooted connections and relationships fostered within the movement, as well as the respect and admiration for Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye's leadership and service to the constituency.

In his address, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye who was visibly touched by the outpouring of love and well-wishes from Mandate Movement members and dignitaries, praised them for their resilience, steadfastness and dedication to the cause of the group.
While noting the astronomical turnout of Mandate Movement members from across the Constituency, he affirmed that Mandate Movement is the most dominant political group in Kosofe Federal Constituency.

He further disclosed that the movement was the brainchild of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he was the Governor of Lagos State and that it had produced notable figures who had contributed immensely to the growth and development of Lagos State.

He, therefore, used the opportunity of the occasion to appeal to Nigerians to have faith in the Renewed Hope Agenda and the ability of President Tinubu to solve the prevailing economic hardship in the country which he noted had been rearing its ugly long before the emergence of President Tinubu's administration.

Earlier, in the event, the Chairman Planning Committee of ROT 62nd birthday party, Otunba Seyi Odufowokan welcomed the dignitaries and Mandate Movement members to 62nd birthday celebration of Hon. Agunsoye.
While stating that the birthday was basically designed to honour and celebrate Hon. Agunsoye for his leadership, visionary, impact and commitment to the growth and development of Kosofe Federal Constituency when he was a member House of Representatives from 2015 - 2023, he noted that the event was also an opportunity for all and sundry to reflect on his leadership and the impactful representation.
Other highlights of the event were the cutting of cake by Hon. Agunsoye and the decoration of Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo as the authentic Lagos State Mandate Movement Chairman by the Kosofe at Large Mandate Movement comprising Kosofe LG, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA and Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.

APC Adjusts Primary Elections Timetable Again, Shifts Special Congresses To May 16-17

  The All Progressives Congress (APC) has once again proposed an adjustment of its Timetable for participation in the 2023 General elections and has moved its Special Congresses for Delegates to May 16 and 17. Special Congresses were originally scheduled to hold from Thursday, May 12, until the Party, which is currently racing against time, took the decision to change the date and allow time for critical announcements and orientation of committee members before the Congresses.
