PRESS STATEMENT WHY KOSOFE CONSTITUENCY 1 LAGOS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PRIMARY ELECTION WAS CANCELLED We wish to use this medium to apprise our teeming Party members in Kosofe Constituency 1 the reason behind the cancellation of today's State House of Assembly Primary election that was supposed to hold at Mende Town Hall. The returning officer for Kosofe Constituency 1, Mr. Fouad Oki, decided to call off the primary election after listening to both parties and with the three Divisional Police Officers from Ifako, Anthony and Ogudu Police Stations following vehement protest from our supporters that the delegate lists read out did not contain the original names of ad hoc delegates that actually won at the ward Congresses held on Wednesday May 18, 2022. MOYOSORE OGUNLEWE RECEIVES NEW POLICE AREA COMMANDER

  The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe yesterday received Area H Commander ACP Sanusi Mohammed and his team.  The delegation was led by the DPO of Area H, Police Station, Ogudu-Ojota, CSP. Celestina Kalu. Kalu Said his boss was on a familiarization tour to all the police divisions under his command and had to pay a courtesy visit to the executive chairman of Kosofe Local government. In his response, the Council boss appreciated the Area Commander for his visit and promised to work with him effective security and protection of life and property in the area.  Present at the meeting were the Council's management, Supervisors and all the councillors of the 7 wards of the Council.

With few days to the All Progressives Congress primary elections, political activities in Kosofe Local Government Area have finally been brought back to life with the commencement of APC Ward Meetings across the local government on Friday. Ward meetings which had hitherto been in comatose since the inauguration of the ward executives in September 2021 took off on an impressive note in all the wards except in Ward C which is Anthony/Mende where meeting couldn't take place due to force majeure. Reports from the venues where Ward meetings took place showed that turnouts were massive as party faithful who have long been denied meaningful political interactions thronged the venue of the meetings in their hundreds.
