The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe has reiterated the commitment of his administration to the provision of adequate welfare packages to the council’s workers to enhance their efficiency. Barrister  Moyosore Ogunlewe made the statement yesterday during the statutory visit of the commissioners of the Lagos Government Service Commission to the local government secretariat. The Council Chairman while addressing the commissioners acknowledged the diligence and support the management and staff of the council had given him since assuming office. The national electricity grid of Nigeria has collapsed again, officials said. Eko Electricity and other power distributors reported zero generation from the grid on Monday morning.   “Dear esteemed customer, we regret to inform you of a total system collapse on the national grid at 10:40 am today, leading to outages across our network,” Eko Electricity said in a statement. “We are closely monitoring the situation with our TCN partners to determine the cause and a timeline for resolution.” Kaduna Electricity also issued a statement apologising to customers about the national grip collapse that started at about 10:40 a.m.   “|We regret to inform you that the power outage being experienced in our franchise states is due to System Collapse of the National Grid which occurred at about 10:40 am,” the firm said. “Power supply shall be restored as soon as the National Grid is powered back. The 22-year-old lady, Miss Oluwabamise Ayanwole, who got missing after boarding a Lagos Bus Rapid Transit vehicle, has been found dead. One of Ayanwole’s relatives confirmed this to The PUNCH on Monday. “We are at the morgue. We have confirmed the corpse,” the relative said in an emotional-laden voice. It was learnt that her corpse was dropped on Lagos Island by a BRT vehicle and a jeep. Upon sighting the corpse by the roadside, an unknown man reportedly informed officials of Ebute Ero Police Station on Saturday evening. The corpse was later taken to the Mainland Hospital mortuary. “An autopsy will be carried out to confirm if any part of her body is missing,” the relative told The PUNCH.   It was learnt that Ayanwola got missing while returning to Ota from Ajah on Saturday, February 26 when she boarded a BRT bus with number 240257 going to Oshodi at about 7 p.m. at Chevron Bus-Stop.
